BND

BND

Brandnewdesign is a nonconforming, meteoric intentions that became products. Since the year 2000, Alain Jost, based out of Switzerland, maintains his hands-on style of designing everyday products. Experiments with prototypes are essential, because Alain Jost always keeps an eye on the unexpected and he believes in the cross-contamination of different ideas.

The challenge is the coherence of an object: human behavior, shape, function and materials must play together in a nifty way. This approach leads to brandnewdesigns that are eyebrow-lifting and jaw-dropping, unusual ideas for usual situations.

CHILLICHILLY

CHILLICHILLY

FURNISH

To make an ordinary daily item into something more and fun! A simple concept of this designer company, yet a difficult task nonetheless. His launch of the Silhouette collection has kept him busy since the company establishment.

Now, incorporating a cleaner, eco-friendly theme, Printing Vase is a fusion of recycling empty wine bottles and design in harmony. According to Satoshi Yoshikawa, fun factor takes majority of the weight of his design concept, which is showcased throughout his work.

GOODYGRAMS (new)

GOODYGRAMS (new)

Goody Grams is not the “g” (gram) used to express measurement of a physical weight/mass, but instead symbolizes the “weight of the value” expressed throughout their collection. It is to express the “weight” in which one can sense from the design, material, technique and other values created by the designer and its balance between human senses and surrounding.

To incorporate graphics into our daily lifestyle. This was Takuya Oi’s concept when he founded his graphic design studio called ELEPHANT FOOT (2004) in Kochi Pref., located on the Shikoku Island of Japan.

He then launched “igenoki” brand in 2006 to create his own product collections using his graphic concept by incorporating human, animal and nature as one.

The name “igenoki” was taken from the actual name of his hometown in Kochi. It is literally spelled “god mother of earth” in Japanese, thus incorporated as the sub-name of his brand.
